Principal April A. Camuso has been a dedicated member of the Hadley Public Schools community since 2008. Throughout her time in the district, she has served in a variety of leadership and instructional roles, including English teacher, English Department Chair, Head Teacher, and Director of Curriculum. In the summer of 2020, she became Principal of Hopkins Academy.

Mrs. Camuso holds a B.A. in English, an M.A. in English and Teaching, and a CAGS in Reading. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. through the College of Education’s Education Policy, Research, and Administration program at UMass Amherst.

Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Camuso has supported and advised a variety of student programs and initiatives, including Peer Mentors, the Gender Equity Task Force, and International Travel. She is committed to creating a welcoming, supportive school community where students feel known, valued, and encouraged to succeed.
