The Hopkins Academy Science Department encourages students to explore, investigate, and better understand the world through hands-on, lab-based learning, research, projects, and scientific inquiry. Students build a strong foundation through Integrated Earth & Space Science, Biology, and Chemistry, then have opportunities to pursue advanced and specialized areas of interest.

With offerings such as AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, and Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses, students can explore fields ranging from biomedical science and engineering to environmental sustainability. These experiences help students develop problem-solving and analytical skills while preparing them for college, STEM programs, and future career pathways.
