Hopkins Academy’s Spanish program strengthens students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through authentic experiences including music, videos, cultural projects, and real-world communication. As students progress through the program, they explore topics such as food, travel, health, immigration, global citizenship, art, and culture while developing the skills and confidence to communicate in Spanish.

Hopkins Academy’s Music program gives students opportunities to develop their talents, build confidence, and experience the excitement of performing as part of an ensemble. Through Band, students strengthen skills in rhythm, harmony, intonation, and ensemble playing while performing both traditional and contemporary music. Chorusintroduces students to a variety of musical styles, including contemporary and classical works, while developing skills in choral singing, sight-reading, harmony, and performance. Students have opportunities throughout the year to showcase their growth through live performances.

Hopkins Academy’s Computer Science program gives students hands-on opportunities to explore technology, coding, cybersecurity, and computational problem-solving. Through courses such as PLTW Computer Science Essentials, Computer Science Principles, and Cybersecurity, students learn to program, analyze data, protect digital information, automate tasks, and develop solutions to real-world problems. The program emphasizes creativity, innovation, ethical technology use, and computational thinking while introducing students to the many career possibilities within today’s rapidly evolving technology fields.
