Welcome to Hopkins Academy:

Who are we?

Small School. Big Opportunities.

At Hopkins Academy, students get the best of both worlds: the opportunities of a larger school with the personal connection of a small, close-knit community.

Our size allows students to be known, supported, and encouraged as individuals. Teachers build meaningful relationships with their students, creating an environment where every student has the opportunity to discover their strengths, explore their interests, and prepare for what comes next.

As an Early College High School, Hopkins gives students the opportunity to challenge themselves beyond the traditional high school experience. Through college-level courses, dual-enrollment opportunities, Advanced Placement (AP) classes, and innovative coursework, students can explore future careers, earn college credit, and build valuable skills before graduation.

From creative and hands-on learning experiences to rigorous academics and individualized opportunities, Hopkins Academy combines community, innovation, and college and career readiness in a way that makes a small school experience something truly special.

At Hopkins, students don’t get lost in the crowd—they find their path.

Discover the Hopkins Difference.

Hopkins Academy has really cool sports and good classes like Spanish, French, and things like that. Hopkins has a lot of really cool students, and the teachers are super nice—they help with your grades and all that. I’m a sophomore and I have a lot of friends.

The school is very small and secluded in the country side of Hadley, thus any violence or gangs or drugs never gets into the school system and has never been known as a problem. Bullying is very rare within the school and if it happens the administration will always be kind and very helpful to stop it.

I have enjoyed attending this school and appreciate the opportunities it has provided to me. I have truly enjoyed my time in Hadley Public Schools!

Hopkins Academy is academically quite advanced. The classes develop the student’s logical and analyzing skills, but academics also focus on developing a student’s personal philosophy and beliefs, sharing and learning about others while in the process of discovering yourself and your values. The teachers are professionals who know how to challenge students and strike compelling, thought-provoking discussions.

What really makes Hopkins Academy stand out is its community. Coming from a small town, the school and its community are always helping and supporting each other. I’ve learned to help others in my school and my community so you can learn to grow as a person through the experience. The school wants to involve students through sports, arts and music, a variety of clubs, volunteer work, and even internships. I personally joined our Equestrian team and Key Club, who’s aim is for each student to have 50 hours of volunteer work by the end of each year.

During my senior year of high school I transferred to Hopkins Academy from South Hadley High School, and the minute I set foot in that school I was welcomed with open arms. It was such an awesome feeling, a feeling that I never experienced at my first high school.
