Hopkins Academy’s English Department helps students become confident readers, writers, speakers, and critical thinkers. Through the study of literature, writing, discussion, and analysis, students explore diverse genres and perspectives while strengthening essential communication skills. Beginning with English 9 and World Literature, students can continue into a variety of engaging upper-level courses, including AP Literature, AP Language, British Literature, Gothic Literature, Science Fiction & Dystopian Literature, Creative Writing, Film Studies, and more. The program challenges students to think creatively and analytically while preparing them for success in college, careers, and beyond.
