The main objective of the AP French/Spanish language course is to develop students' communication skills in French/Spanish, with an emphasis on conversation and composition. The fundamental goal is for the students to achieve a high level of ability in all four skills (listening, reading, speaking, and writing). This is a rigorous course designed to challenge highly motivated language learners. Students will be expected to be well prepared, have a high level of motivation and interest, as well as sufficient time to prepare out-of-class reading and writing assignments. Students who select this class should have a strong knowledge of the language. Students will be required to express ideas orally with accuracy and fluency, compose expository passages, and comprehend formal and informal French/Spanish. Students are required to take the AP French exam.
