Mrs. Duncan has been a teacher at Hopkins Academy since 2002.  She  currently teaches 7th grade Science, STEM Innovations, and Strategies for Learning, and in the past has taught Middle School Math and 9th Grade Science.  Mrs. Duncan is the research supervisor for science fair projects, coaches the Equestrian Team, and is the advisor of the Ski and Snowboard Club as well as a co-advisor to the Class of 2026.  Before becoming a science teacher Mrs. Duncan worked in the horse industry for 7 years teaching, training, and competing.  She spends her free time riding horses, skiing, reading, and spending time with her husband,  her two children,  her dog, and her  cat.

Nick Dowd

A native of Western Massachusetts, Mr. Dowd graduated from Chicopee High School in 2009. In 2013 he graduated from York College of Pennsylvania, holding his Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education and Biology. Mr. Dowd has been involved in public education since 2013. Additionally, Mr. Dowd is a dutiful and loving father of three. When he is not in the classroom, he can be found in the outdoors where he enjoys hiking and gardening.

Lindsey Lord

Ms. Lord has been a teacher at Hopkins Academy since 2019.  She  currently teaches CP Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Forensic Science, along with switching every other year to teach environmental science. Ms. Lord also works in the school as the Class of 2023 advisor and JV softball coach. Before becoming a science teacher, Ms. Lord earned her Bachelors and Master degrees from Smith College and worked as a lab technician for an environmental consultation company. Outside the classroom she loves to go to the beach, craft, flip old furniture, and visit her family in New Hampshire.

Marcelle Morgan spent a lot of time out of doors as a kid, loves plants and animals and understanding how and why things work the way they do. Marcelle’s memories and experiences as a  7th grade science student guided her to become a middle school science teacher.
