Visit from State Commissioner of Education, Jeff Riley - Monday December 10, 2018

State Commissioner of Education, Jeff Riley, visited HES on Monday, December 10, 2018. Thank you to our student ambassadors in grades K-6 who gave the Commissioner a tour of the building. Fifth grade student, Kayleigh Wu, presented the Commissioner with an original piece of art work - a beautiful watercolor of a Hadley Hawk. The Commissioner plans to hang it in his office in Malden. Several students participated in a Q and A with the Commissioner. Fifth grader Tenzin Namdrol asked the Commissioner what a student should do to get into Harvard. Since the Commissioner attended Harvard, he is the right person to ask. The Commissioner had very positive things to say about our school and our students. Before leaving he commented that HES feels like a "happy place."
