Greetings!

I started working at Hopkins Academy during the 2006-2007 school year. Previously I had worked at the Amherst Middle School doing everything from being a Special Education Paraprofessional, Teaching Geometry, being an After School Assistant-coordinator to running the Amherst Middle School computer labs. Amherst is a great place to work but it was time to move on.
I came to Hopkins Academy because of the following reasons:
Here at Hopkins Academy I had a chance to design and teach a modern Instructional Technology program that would offer my students the technology skills they would need to succeed at the next level. Whether that next level is college, a trade school or right into the business world I wanted to prepare them for their future. I wanted a place where I would have the chance to fulfill my creative potential. Coming to Hopkins gave me that chance.
Working at Hopkins was also very attractive because of the sense of community. I want to dedicate my teaching abilities to a community that dedicates it self to it’s children and teachers. I see the Hadley Public Schools as doing so. I believe very strongly that part of what builds a healthy community is loyalty and commitment. I see the community of Hadley as a community that does so.
Education:
University of Massachusetts B.A., Economics 1999
Currently is the Masters program at Westfield State College for Instructional Technology
