Welcome to Mr. Green's Home Page for Hopkins Academy.
I am currently the High School Math Teacher for the following courses: Geometry (both regular and accelerated), Algebra II, and Integrated Mathematics I & II.
Feel free to contact me anytime by using my school email (mgreen@hadleyschools.org) for any questions or concerns, whether it be about grades or even the night's homework. I usually check it throughout the day, up till 9 o'clock each night.
If you need help on understanding certain content or just have general questions about a type of problem, I suggest you visit The Math Forum. There you can find topics that cover almost every aspect of math - from Algebra and Geometry to Calculus and even Abstract Algebra.
My Algebra II students hard at work!
If it's one thing I believe that everyone should remember is that life isn't that serious - we need to be able to laugh at ourselves every now and then and understand that we all make mistakes and that we don't know everything. We need to learn from our mistakes and be able to apply what we learned to our everyday life. Remember - to error is human.
One of my methods of teaching - using my Muppet Stanley. Math isn't an easy subject for all. Sometimes it takes years of studying. Sometimes it just takes an applied example. And sometimes it just takes an orange Muppet.

A little about Mr. Green:
I am a graduate from Westfield State College with my BA in Mathematics. Before working at Hopkins, I worked at The Academy At Swift River as a Residential Mentor and a Part-Time Mathematics Teacher. I've been working with high school students since my Junior year in college and can't imagine doing anything else. Well, maybe being a Producer, but isn't that everyone's dream?...
My biggest hobby is Movies - watching them, learning more about them, trivia for them, the actors/actresses in them - almost everything about them is my hobby. I incorporate them into my classes whether it be by references, jokes, or the very popular bonus questions on my quizzes/tests. I own over 400 movies and you can most likely find me at the local movie theater every Tuesday catching a movie for only $5. Remember - life is like a movie - you make your own ending.
