Courses:
Math 7 and Math 8. Both Math 7&8 travel from memorizing basic mathematics rules to understanding the concepts and being able to apply them to solve problems. Math 8 covers a few more topic than Math 7 and is a little more in-depth. Both classes focus on word problem solving methods and force students to self-evaluate.

Exams
Exams are given at the end of each unit and students are allowed to make-up any exam regardless of grade recieved. The two exams will be averaged together. Students must correct the old exam and have it checked by me before the can take the make-up. Students must take the make-up after school on the date assigned by me unless they have personally discussed an alternative date with me.
Daily Preparedness
Students are expected to bring to class every day their 3-ring binders, agenda, text book, and pencil
Quizzes
Quizzes will be given once a week and are meant to keep the students basic math skills sharp or check chapter progress.
Homework
Homework is given at least three nights per week. Homework is the key to success in math. Homework will be check visually for completion, so it must be written neatly. We will go over the homework in class, it is the students responsibility to ask question and understand the material. If a student is still confused at the end of class they need to stay after for extra help. Do not put off staying after for extra help!

All students are responsible for copying their homework assignment from the board into their agendas. If a studnet forgets to write down the assignment they should call a classmate or go to the MIDDLE SCHOOL web site and locate the assignment there.
