Welcome to the Hadley
Public Schools Web Site
The Hadley Public Schools
operates from an umbrella mission statement that permeates all
endeavors and initiatives of the school district. Our district
mission statement states:
The Hadley Public Schools, in
partnership with the community, will aim to provide a safe and
supportive environment. We will strive for excellence by
providing high quality educational opportunities for diverse
learners to achieve their individual potentials. By engaging
in meaningful activities, our students will be able to access,
question, apply, integrate, evaluate, and communicate
essential knowledge. Furthermore, the schools will help
prepare students to act with integrity and to assume a
contributory role as productive members in our democratic
society.
The district has formulated a
list of goals that serves to prioritize the focus of our
educational priority. These goals include:
-
Goal 1: Provide a safe and
attractive environment and appropriate facilities for all
students and staff.
-
Goal 2: Maintain a
favorable student-staff ratio and provide a well-balanced,
appropriate curriculum for all students.
-
Goal 3: Foster a climate of
communication throughout the district and community.
-
Goal 4: Create, facilitate
and evaluate site-based school improvement plans to grow and
evolve with the community.
-
Goal 5: Enable all students
to pass the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS)
tests.
-
Goal 6: Manage all levels
of the educational system to be productive, creative,
efficient, progressive and accountable.
-
Goal 7: Encourage parents
to be partners in the education of our children.
-
Goal 8: Promote quality
professional development and individual accountability of
all staff.
